Honestly this is one of the weirdest things I've ever done-- but it worked.

I put the patch on my canker sore (looks like a tiny pill) overnight and when I woke up the patch was all huge and felt like a sponge.

It was very strange to put a dry pill-looking thing on the sore, but when you wake up it looks entirely different. It is soft and sponge-like.

Anyways--- IT WORKED! My canker sore was significantly smaller when I woke up and no longer rubbed up against my teeth. I did one more night with the canker patch and it was completely gone.

This product works great for not just mouth sore, but tongue sores. Would highly recommend! I especially would encourage you to use overnight like I did, instead of during the day. Just because you won't have to worry about eating and drinking water, etc.

I used to use these and swore by them. I get terrible canker sores on the side of my tongue that take a terribly long time to heal because of the scraping against my teeth with every movement of my tongue. These patches were the only things that ever helped. They used to attach easily, stay on for hours, and dissolve slowly. Now they are much more painful - applying them normally causes some pain since you're pressing a hard little disc against an angry canker sore, but it the stinging wears off quickly after those first 25-30 seconds. Now it lasts for several minutes, burning and stinging that nothing will calm. And they no longer stay put - they slip off with the slightest provocation. Forget eating, drinking, holding a conversation, or any of the other things you'd hope that this product would allow you to do while healing from a canker sore. I have been avoiding all of these things while using these patches this time around, but they no longer stay put for longer than 30 minutes. I am so disappointed that they no longer work at all. I have had my current sore for over a week and have tried using three boxes worth of these things, because at this point I pretty much have no other choice if I don't want to be utterly miserable 24/7 and unable to eat or speak. But they're consistently falling off way too soon. I won't be wasting money on these ever again.

Summary: 2/5 didn't suit my needs but did an average job with pain and protection. More suitable for small or average sized canker sores for night time protection only. They are a bit of a hassle for larger sores because I was trying to piece multiple patches onto one bug sore (not worth).

My situation: I have 2 canker sores. 1 about half the size of the eraser on a pencil and another about half the size of a US dime.... I'm in pain while eating, smiling, drinking, or just existing in general

Pros: protects the sore so I don't have to peel it off of my tooth every morning. Soothing for smaller and average sized canker sores.

Cons: hard to apply at times, gross medical taste, expands to a bulky lump in the mouth, very sticky.

These patches do work given that the sore is equal to or the same size of the patch which is about the size of an eraser on a pencil. The problem is that when the patch expands it just becomes a gross sticky mess. It's too much effort to pull off the side of my mouth and it's rather uncomfortable. They're not that great to eat with ( but you can and they erode pretty easily ) and they have this weird medical taste or gross minty sensation. I would say use only for night time protection before bed. Then in the morning shave off some of the gel to leave a thin layer so you can actually function for a bit during the day. I've included pictures of what they look like during the early stages.

Tip: be very thorough in drying the area. I used soft paper to dab my sore a bit but mostly just fanned and breathed on the area for a while. When putting the patch on just hold it with two fingers and place it on the sore. Do not touch the patch for about a minute or as long as you want so you do not risk the patch sticking your fingers or anything else.

Canker sores are tiny, yet extremely painful, especially when chewing! I had one below one of my molars, on the bottom of my mouth. It was hell to chew, so I ordered these. I followed the instructions which tells you to dry the sore first, and hold the tablet there for 20 seconds. Amazingly, it sticks and stays for the full 12 hours (for me it was more like 14 hours). It doesn't slide off at all, even when chewing breakfast the next morning. Even brushing my teeth it stayed. Once it was fully dissolved I could tell it helped because the pain was greatly reduced (still slight discomfort, but not pain like before). I highly recommend these for speeding up the healing process and for helping with the pain.

I'm not a big online shopper but when I could no longer find this product on the shelves at my local Shoppers Drug Mart or Walmart I HAD TO FIND IT ONLINE. I get canker sores infrequently but have had enough over my lifetime to have tried everything: salt and warm water (works slowly but still painful), rubbing alcohol (what was I thinking??), the Anbesol gels and the like (messy and wore off to quickly). These patches work, albeit a little odd to have a glob develop in your mouth overnight. If you follow the instructions the little patch stays put -- immediately easing the pain and keeping it protected for a good 24 hrs. Use em at night, so you won't chew them out accidently while eating. Only downside to the product is that there are only 6 patches in a package -- which is ok for about two severe cases. Severe meaning the a size of a dime canker.

Due to my love for acidic foods, I've always suffered from regular canker sores. Until now, I hadn't been able to find any products that would give me relief. In Canada, all you can find at pharmacies are gels, which I find only sting and make canker sores larger. I wish I knew about these patches earlier because they literally make a seal around the entire sore where no food can get in; no pain while wearing them!

It starts off as a little tablet and you hold it to the canker sore for 20-30s and it makes a seal. It really does last for many hours, but it depends what you eat and drink. They are pretty pricey so I only use them on bad days but it's so worth it for the pain relief. I will be buying more!

I would give these patches 5 stars, but they don't work for all canker sores. Depending on where your sore is (I had one near the back of my mouth, under my tongue and wasn't able to get a patch to stay there) it can be hard to get the patch to stick. I wasted 3 of the patches trying. However, for one inside my cheek, that I was able to fully dry, and allow to adhere, it worked amazingly, and my canker sore really was gone in one day. I would recommend this product.

This product essentially just numbs the canker sore and leaves a protective seal over the exposed area. I do find it very useful especially if your sore is especially painful. The only thing to be careful of though, is that the protective seal does come off, so make sure you don't accidentally swallow it.

I don't love many things as much as I LOVE these canker patches. I can't find them anywhere in the city anymore so I order them in bulk quantities from Amazon because I get so many canker sores.
Be prepared that they are goopy - I can't use them during the day and still speak to anyone with confidence that I'm not going to show the goop, but I put them on in the evening and typically wake up to a smaller and less painful canker sore. I typically use half of a tablet at a time.
